For Laura and Timothy Moog, founders of Lux + Table and creators of the Napking, it actually did all start with a ring.

Since marrying in 2012 and settling into their forever home, the two dreamed of creating a space filled with lasting family memories. What they didn’t expect was that entertaining would become their true calling.

Hosting intimate gatherings with curated cocktails, warm décor, and thoughtfully set tables that made their guests feel genuinely cared for quickly became a passion.

But even with an inviting home and vintage treasures, their table settings felt repetitive. Constantly reusing the same pieces became predictable, and buying new items often felt impractical due to cost and storage.

That’s when a simple question changed everything: Could a small change at the table inspire beauty, spark conversation, and tell a story?

The answer led to the creation of the Napking, an accouterment that transforms everyday gatherings into extraordinary experiences.
